Wild Roots St Pete – Indoor Plants
Any green thumbs out there? Want to be? Colt’s growing plants on our patio (one even w/ sizable tomatoes) and has a suggestion. Source your plants from independently owned shops who go the extra mile to help you! A great option for indoor plants is Wild Roots St Pete in the Grand Central District! I’m giving away a $50 gift card to one Instagram follower & one Facebook follower. To enter, simply comment on FB and/or IG with whether you’re a green thumb or still learning! We’d also love if you tag someone who might enjoy going with you to Wild Roots! Winners chosen Wednesday morning (2/2). Official Rules: https://bit.ly/2ZEL7Z7
Wild Roots’ 4.9/5 star Google rating isn’t by happenstance. From the moment you arrive at Wild Roots, you’ll have what I’ll call a plant sherpa to assist. Guiding and explaining, as much or as little as you like. “…we won’t just sell you a pretty plant and send you on your way. Educating our customers is where we shine!”, says owner Amanda Hill, who opened the store in 2017.
Amanda Hill – Owner of Wild Roots
Amanda grew up in a Florida home with two horticulturists, her parents. “Some of my most treasured childhood memories are tagging along with my Dad in greenhouses and cruising around my mom’s nursery in a golf cart, soaking up their seemingly endless plant knowledge.”
At Wild Roots you’ll find everything from houseplants to air plants, succulents to tropicals – “an eclectic botanical selection that is always evolving”. New plants are hand selected weekly, including even rare and unusual species.
Amanda has also curated a collection of locally made goods including pottery, macrame, candles, apothecary, jewelry & more. Colt’s favorite? The gems. 💎 The dude loves him some gem mining, so he was fascinated with Amanda’s collection. Shout out to Elena for the time she spent discussing them with Colt!
