Sweet Sage Cafe in Redington Beach

[fusion_dropcap boxed="yes" boxed_radius="0" class="fusion-content-tb-dropcap"]P[/fusion_dropcap]ublished on 10/08/21: Whew, the last few weeks have been a blur. Colt’s school, his promotion to Orange Belt🥋, a huge project of mine that goes ‘live’ soon, wife’s busy season ramping (keep http://www.PaperFinch.com in mind for gifts) and hosting a 🏈 event each Saturday for 100+.  I’m still mixing in adventures with Colt, though need to find time to properly post them to do the small business justice!

You know we adventure all over Pinellas County, encouraging people to explore, even if that means a 25-35 minute drive to some of the landmarks, nature parks and businesses. We see posts all the time from vacationers flying back home saying “we would visit (or eat) at [xyz] all the time if we lived here!”. In our case, no airfare is necessary, simply a car ride through palm tree lined streets.

With that being said, onto Sweet Sage Cafe in North Redington Beach! Very worthy of a visit and Google Reviewers feel the same, giving it 4.7/5 stars!

Sweet Sage serves breakfast and lunch as well as adult beverages. Yes, this includes Bloody Mary’s! It’s open every day from 7am-2pm, takes reservations for larger parties and is also pet friendly in their outdoor “Garden of Eatin”. Speaking of which, they even have a menu for your pup!

Sweet Sage Café and Boutique describes itself as:

“…peaceful atmosphere, a quaint combination of cafe, gift shop, boutique and beautiful outdoor dog friendly garden! We offer a wide variety of breakfast and lunch dishes, from our many creations of Eggs Benedict to French Toast, Delectable Wraps to Healthy Salads. Try our unique Sage Creations, Waffle Daffle, Dairyberry Crunch, Bruschetta and more!”

Colt lived it up with the “Waffledaffle”. A Belgian waffle with whipped cream, raspberry sauce and fruit. Great stuff. Based on our 3 meals, fairly certain you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu!

They’re also setup to host larger parties in their Garden Room – birthday, bridal and office parties, etc. Simply give them a call to reserve.
Finally, if you have kids, the Alligator & Wildlife Discovery Center that we reviewed last month is just a short drive away while you’re in the area! Could knock out two great spots in one trip!

Mike Braswell is a Tampa Bay Realtor, serving St Petersburg, Clearwater, all nearby beaches and more. Mike and his 6 year old son started LovingStPete in October of 2020 after a difficult year took its toll on local businesses. After being cooped up for portions of 2020 (lockdown) they decided to get out and explore, helping spread the good word about the local area he loves so much. Often even doing gift card giveaways to support local. LovingStPete is now followed by over 27 thousand people on social media! The majority of posts are informative on fun parks, activities, day trips, great restaurants, and in general provide a comprehensive tour of the area! His 6 year old son generally helps him gather the info, providing his wife some 'child-free' time in the process! A win-win, with his son being exposed to many great events and activities in the process.

Soon after receiving his bachelors in Management Information Systems, Mike developed and then operated a vacation rental advertising business for 10+ years as CEO/Owner. The business was eventually acquired by HomeAway/VRBO.

When not spending time with his beautiful wife and energetic son, Mike enjoys boating and is also an avid tennis player. An interesting fact about Mike is that he grew up on an avocado farm with over 15 varieties, some of which you can find in our local Publix/Winn Dixie as his dad still farms the same farm at 87 years old!
