Published on 01/17/21: The largest power and sailboat show on the Gulf Coast is in downtown St Pete! Yes, that’s the St Pete Power and Sailboat Show. If you’ve never been before, you should check it out. It’s in a beautiful location, right next to all that downtown St Pete has to offer! Easy to grab lunch afterwards or maybe visit the St Pete Pier!
Boat show is on the water, not in a parking lot
Best part is that the show is DIRECTLY on the water, unlike some around the state (ie at fairgrounds). Perusing yachts is always fun, however being waterfront adds an all-important element in my opinion. The boat setup around the docks is certainly impressive and had Colt’s attention. “Let’s go on that one!”
The show will of course return to downtown again at a later date, an annual show. So if you didn’t make it this time, try to attend next time. Makes for a great afternoon! Colt enjoyed walking about the yachts while calculating how many weeks it would take to buy each one – at $5/week allowance of course.
Price for admission is $19 for ages 16+. Age 15 and under are free.
Advance ticket purchase is recommended, and face masks are required.

An interesting fact about Mike is that he grew up on an avocado farm with over 15 varieties, some of which you can find in our local Publix/Winn Dixie as his dad still farms the same farm at 87 years old!
