Smuggler’s Cove Mini Golf in Madeira Beach

Published on 07/25/21: Do you call it Goofy Golf or Mini Golf? Well, either way, this is one of Colt’s favorite activities and living on the beach side has certainly provided us more opportunities w/ two courses nearby. And to be clear, we don’t post about every place we visit (golf or otherwise), Colt has the bar set high for you all! That being said, we love Smuggler’s Cove at 15395 Gulf Blvd in Madeira Beach! As a mini-golf aficionado, Colt says he loves this one because “the pirate ship is awesome, holes are really fun and there are real alligators”.

I will say, we’ve been to some that are pretty much just hitting a ball straight into a hole, where-as here you must navigate bridges, caves and other obstacles. They spent some extra dollars on the theme and we approve! Plus, they have alligators that you can feed. Check out our stories for the alligator feeding!

Beer and Wine!

An additional perk that some adults might find appealing, Smuggler’s Cove Adventure Golf serves beer and wine just like a real golf course! Does someone drive around asking if you need cold one? Not that we saw, but still a nice touch. Upon check-in, simply buy your drinks and take with you. There are plenty of places to set your drinks at each hole.
Another plus. They sell ice cream and snacks. With families, at any given time, someone is seemingly hungry. So in this case you can golf and avoid anyone becoming hangry. Colt and I evidently become the Hulk when hungry, so Amy keeps snacks in her purse in an attempt to avoid. Anyone else get a bit ornery without food?

And you can pretty much count on Smuggler’s Cove to be open anytime you want to go. I mean they’re open 365 days a year from 9AM – 11pm, except:
Christmas Eve: 9am-6pm
Christmas Day: 11am-11pm
New Years Eve: 9am-10pm
