Shore Acres Community and Mini-Park

Published on 10/06/20: Love the community of Shore Acres! Exhibit A: Two new food trucks to try at the mini park this evening! Around 8 golf carts with families and many walking over by foot to enjoy lobster, shrimp and crab from Sunkissed Food Truck! Also onsite was Shiso Crispy with delicious Asian dishes! Both delish! Made for a great evening of social distancing outdoors! The food trucks are not onsite every day, though typically at least once a week.

Within the park are seawalls for fishing, playground for kids and a nice open greenspace for football or frisbee. While the Shore Acres playground is fenced, there’s no fence along the seawall, so just be aware if your little ones venture out beyond the playground.

From their website:

“Shore Acres Florida is on a group of man made islands on the west side of Tampa Bay, in a reasonably protected area, just south of Weedon Island State Wildlife Preserve, and just north of Snell Island.” Much of Shore Acres is waterfront, with numerous canals all through the neighborhood leading out to Tampa Bay or channels which lead to Tampa Bay. This community is certainly ideal for boaters given the easy access to the bay. Plus it’s only around 10-14 minutes to for instance the Vinoy in Downtown St Pete!
