Museum of Fine Arts in St Pete – Art in Bloom

Yesterday, my wife suggested that we visit the Museum of Fine Arts for their annual ‘Art in Bloom’ event. As MFA describes it “Art in Bloom is the MFA’s signature spring event which showcases the museum’s collection in full bloom with dozens of floral designs inspired by the art and galleries. Floral interpretations are displayed in the museum’s collection galleries and gardens Thursday, March 25 – Sunday, March 28 and are included with admission.”

She simply purchased tickets for us online ($20) and we were on our way to St Pete’s first waterfront museum – open to the public since 1965. Masks are required and capacity is limited. There were no crowds and it worked out well for an afternoon along the water.

Amy’s Feedback and Plug For Her Business:

As an artist, Amy especially enjoyed the exhibit. It is indeed interesting to see how the florists interpreted the art using a vast array of flowers. Also learned that the process to water the flowers requires much precision, given the expensive art surrounding them! And proud plug for my wife’s business that she runs, creating geography designs for nearly every location in the world! And if your city/location of interest doesn’t exist, she can likely create if for you.

Colt’s ‘tied for first favorite’ tree in St Pete is located just outside MFA and you’ll see it in bloom if you visit soon! While today is the last day, of this particular event, Museum of Fine Arts has many other events as well.
