Magic Kingdom Less Than 2 Hours From St. Pete!
Wrapping up our thoughts on a Disney Day/Weekend Trip, here’s our final stop last weekend. Magic Kingdom! While there were noticeably less crowds, similar to Epcot, the lines for a number of rides still required the same wait as pre-Covid. This is simply because most rides themselves are not operating at full capacity for social distancing purposes. Masks are required unless eating or drinking (while sitting) and staff definitely keeps an eye out for mask malfunctions.
We are simply happy that Disney has figured out a way to open safely for those who wish to venture to the Parks. Keep in mind that Disney caps the number of people at all parks so you must make a reservation in advance. Also note that Fast Passes currently don’t work, which was really our only ‘bummer’, otherwise we definitely look forward to returning!
At only 90 minutes away, those of us in the Tampa Bay area are fortunate to be able to visit frequently! Just think, if you use your annual pass 4 days per month, you’re talking less than $20/day! Thank you Walt Disney World for opening your doors and keeping safety in mind! See you again soon.
