Published on 01/31/21: Yesterday, when I asked Colt “what adventure should we tackle today?” he said “I want to watch you drink an adult beverage, eat oysters, and listen to live music”.
No, I had a selfish moment and pretended that’s what he said. And thus we headed to The Island Grille & Raw Bar in Tierra Verde, about 15 minutes south of downtown St Pete. When we lived in St Pete Beach we frequented Island Grille. Since that time a huge pool has been built, available for restaurant and marina guests, adding further to the atmosphere! We also love that they often have live music, adding to the tropical ambiance.
Given The Island Grille is located on a marina, boating here is certainly a possibility as well! You may want to call ahead for slip availability.
Live music is scheduled to start today at noon! And appears the weather will be nice until much later tonight when the storms approach.

An interesting fact about Mike is that he grew up on an avocado farm with over 15 varieties, some of which you can find in our local Publix/Winn Dixie as his dad still farms the same farm at 87 years old!
