Berkeley Beach Club in Pass-a-Grille

Published on 04/18/21: Time for our twice monthly #SupportLocal giveaway! This time THREE lucky winners (instead of two) will each receive a gift card! You’ll be headed to one of our favorites, the Berkeley Beach Club on Pass-a-Grille! Will you opt for their coastal modern restaurant, trendy rooftop bar overlooking the Gulf or a stay at their boutique hotel?

TO ENTER: simply comment on the Facebook or Instagram Post as to which of the 3 options suits you best! Not required, though we would love for you to tag who you’ll bring along! We’ll select/announce winners this Friday evening (4/23). Follow Us!
While the Berkeley technically opened in June of 2019, their grand opening wasn’t until December. And then we all know what happened a couple months into 2020. This likely kept it a bit under the radar, though word is now certainly out! So popular that reservations were unavailable on a couple of our attempts. Plan ahead! Reservations are highly recommended for both the rooftop bar & restaurant. The Google reviews avg a 4.9/5 and you’ll see why upon visiting.

When you visit Berkeley Beach Club, you have 3 initial decisions:

1. Head to the Rooftop Bar, currently featuring a new ‘Primeval’ seafood menu & always great cocktails, overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Mexico! “Starting on April 1, the rooftop menu will feature our raw bar, full oyster service, our selection of raw, smoked and cured fish, domestic & international ceviches as well as our traditional charcuterie offerings.” Colt was fascinated by oyster shucking as you’ll see in the 📸.
2. Dine at the coastal modern restaurant downstairs, the Dewey. My artist wife loves the decor/vibe, giving big props to the team behind the design. Named for the owners beloved dog, Dewey.
3. Or stay for the weekend! The suites can sleep up to eight. Per the Berkeley: “The Suites have been described by guests as – “an oasis” & “beyond perfect” because of “the energy, the breakfast, the décor, the porches and the bathroom”
109 8th Ave, SPB.

Mike Braswell is a Tampa Bay Realtor, serving St Petersburg, Clearwater, all nearby beaches and more. Mike started LovingStPete in October of 2020 after a difficult year took its toll on local businesses. After being cooped up for portions of 2020 (lockdown) Mike and his son decided to get out and explore, helping spread the good word about the local area he loves so much. Often even doing gift card giveaways to support local. LovingStPete is now followed by over 48 thousand people on social media! The majority of posts are informative on fun parks, activities, day trips, great restaurants, and in general provide a comprehensive tour of the area!

Soon after receiving his bachelors in Management Information Systems, Mike developed and then operated a vacation rental advertising business for 10+ years as CEO/Owner. The business was eventually acquired by VRBO. Mike has earned the trust of many large clients over the years. Such as NFL, Wynn Resorts, Blue Cross Blue Shield, VISA, Genuine Parts Company (NAPA Auto Parts), AT&T, and other Fortune 500 companies.

When not spending time with his beautiful wife and energetic son, Mike enjoys boating and is also an avid tennis player. An interesting fact about Mike is that he grew up on an avocado farm with over 15 varieties, some of which you can find in our local Publix/Winn Dixie as his dad still farms the same farm at 87 years old!
